Oh, Yeah...

Deborah has redone our kitchen.  Here she is doing what all dedicated bakers do in a new kitchen.

Note the second sink on the island.

The "coffee bar"

No picture could do justice to our revamped bathroom.  It is now a gleaming jewel in the center of our house, of glass, ceramics, and stainless steel.  A deck will be built any week now.  Needless to say, Deborah put a lot of thought into her choices.  The contractor was excellent, and had lots of ideas of his own, as did the cabinet person.  We're happy with what we got so far.

Think Globally, Act Very Locally

Deborah has been organizing and leading a volunteer effort to remove invasives from an arm of the County parks that juts into Barcroft.  It's called Grandma's Creek for historical reasons.  Here's one crew with results:

Deborah has been a part of the task force that prepared a request for funding from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation and assistance from the County to deal with some of the stormwater runoff that is carving the creek bed into steep ravines.  That project was approved and with luck will be completed in a year or so.  Her crews have improved the appearance of the sections most affected by invasives.  She's also planted trees and shrubs in the area.

Quilts for Nathan, Owen, and Liana (#3)

Deborah made a quilt for each of our grandchildren.  She spent a lot of time on the designs, and since she has limited experience making quilts, it took a lot of effort, even with the expert assistance of our friend Margaret.  They were done before the births.

Yes, there is a third grandchild now, Liana Esther Young.  She's in the first photo, and Owen is in the second.
